Hands-on for when it helps.
Movement for getting you back doing what you love.
Massage therapy and Pilates built around a simple idea: feeling better matters, but so does building confidence in what your body can do then creating the capacity to do the things that matter.
Approach

Feeling better is important. But it isn't always the end goal.Hands-on treatment can help with symptoms. Pilates can help develop movement quality, control and confidence. As your goals become more demanding, building the strength and capacity to tolerate more matters too. What you need depends on where you are now and what you're trying to get back to—Whether that’s walking without a stick, getting back into sports, improving performance or being able to lift your kids without pain.I won't promise quick fixes.
Recovery isn't always linear, and every person responds differently to treatment. What I can do is listen to you, assess what's going on and work with you to find a way forward that fits your goals, lifestyle and concerns.
Sometimes that means hands-on treatment. Sometimes movement. Often it's a combination, changing as you progress.Everyone has to start somewhere.
The aim is to start with what you can do now and build towards what you want to do next.I won't book you in for endless treatments, and if I don't think I'm the right person to help, I'll tell you.The goal isn't to keep you coming back for treatment. It's to help you need me less.
About Me
Qualifications and experience
I'm a Level 5 Soft Tissue Therapist, registered with the ISRM, and a qualified APPI Matwork Pilates Instructor.
My training brings together massage, pilates and rehab, with skills I've learnt from a range of therapists and instructors. I don't believe you ever stop learning, which is why you'll often find me listening to podcasts, reading research papers, attending classes or investigating my next course.
Using this, I adapt my approach to the person in front of me and what they're trying to achieve.
How it started….
My passion for movement actually started with a lack of it….As a teenager, I went from being very active to becoming chronically unwell with post-viral ME. All of a sudden, fitness and performance didn't matter to me— getting back to everyday life did.As my health slowly improved, I was left with chronic lower back pain as well as a host of other symptoms.
Hands-on treatment helped me manage my symptoms and gave me the confidence to start moving again. I then gradually started to return to movement again through yoga and later Pilates which helped me start enjoying exercise again.Pilates became a big part of that process. I felt stronger, moved more and started to believe things were possible again. But eventually I wanted more.
I ride horses, and I realised that feeling stronger through Pilates didn't necessarily prepare me for all the physical demands of riding, looking after horses and everyday life. So I started strength training and progressively exposing my body to more load — and that completely changed how I thought about pain, progress and movement. That's where the ethos behind MyoDynamic comes from.
Start where you are. Help things feel better when they need to. Build confidence in movement. Then progressively work towards what you want your body to be able to do.
For one person that might mean getting back to sport. For someone else, it might simply mean having the confidence and capacity to get down the stairs to feed the dog.
I’ve been at both ends of that scale and know that both are progress.
Massage Therapy
What Soft Tissue Therapy Can Do For You?
Sometimes feeling better is the first step to doing more.
Massage can help reduce pain and discomfort, ease feelings of stiffness and help you relax.
Sometimes that’s all you want from a treatment. Other times, a treatment gives you that window where movement feels easier or more comfortable creating an opportunity to start moving, rebuilding confidence or getting back to something that’s been difficult.
Massage can support recovery, sit alongside training or simply be something that feels good.Feeling better matters — even when it isn’t always the whole answer.
What Soft Tissue Therapy Can’t Do For You?
Hands-on treatment can help. But it can't always get you to your goals.
Massage can’t permanently “release” tight muscles or “knots”, break down scar tissue or put your body back into “alignment”.
And although it can help with symptoms, strength and physical capacity are built by gradually using and challenging your body.
Sometimes massage is enough for what you want. Sometimes it opens the door to do doing more.
Hands-on when it helps. Movement when you need more.

What Mat Pilates Can Do For You?
A place to start. A way to progress. Or simply a way to move.
Build strength, control, coordination, balance and confidence through movement that can be adapted and progressed with you.
Use it to get moving, complement the training or sport you already do, or simply because you enjoy it.
Movement doesn't always need a bigger purpose. You can do it because you enjoy it and it makes you feel good!
What Mat Pilates Can’t Do For You?
Pilates is a tool — not the whole toolbox.
It won't fix everything, prevent every injury or replace the heavier loading needed to build strength for some goals.
For running, riding, sport or everyday life, Pilates can form part of the picture — but your body also benefits from being exposed to the things you actually want it to do.
Sometimes Pilates is enough. Sometimes it's the starting point for more— whether that’s strength and conditioning, Reformer Pilates or more specific rehab.

All classes must be booked in advance through the designated booking system unless otherwise agreed.
Payment is required at the time of booking or through a valid class bundle.

Drop-in classes are paid for individually.

Bundles:
Are for the named customer and are non-transferable
Do not guarantee availability in a particular class
Must be used within the validity period stated at purchase
Cannot normally be extended beyond their stated expiry date
If a class booked using a bundle credit is cancelled at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time, the credit will be returned to the customer's bundle. The original bundle expiry date will remain unchanged.
For cancellations made less than 24 hours before the class, or in the event of non-attendance, the credit will be forfeited.
Reasonable extensions may be considered at MyoDynamic's discretion in exceptional circumstances. This does not affect your statutory rights.4. Cancelling a bundle
Where statutory cancellation rights apply to a bundle purchased online, you may have the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days of entering into the contract.
If you choose to book or attend a class during this 14-day period, you are requesting that MyoDynamic begins providing the service before the cancellation period has ended.
If you subsequently exercise an applicable statutory right to cancel during this period after services have begun, any refund may be reduced by an amount permitted by law to reflect services already provided.
After any applicable statutory cancellation period has ended, unused bundle credits are not normally refundable.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.5. Classes cancelled or changed by MyoDynamic
Occasionally classes may need to be cancelled or changed due to instructor illness, venue availability, insufficient numbers or circumstances outside MyoDynamic's reasonable control.
If MyoDynamic cancels a class:
A drop-in payment will be refunded or transferred to another class, as appropriate; or
A bundle credit will be returned to the customer's account.
Where a cancellation by MyoDynamic leaves a customer without a reasonable opportunity to use returned credits before their expiry, an appropriate extension will be considered.
Reasonable efforts will be made to notify affected customers as soon as possible.6. Health and participation
Customers are responsible for providing accurate and relevant health information before participating and for informing the instructor of relevant changes before subsequent classes.
This includes new or worsening injuries or symptoms, illness, pregnancy, recent surgery or medical advice that may affect participation.
Customers should work within their own abilities, follow reasonable instruction and inform the instructor if they experience pain, dizziness, unusual shortness of breath or other concerning symptoms.

The standard 24-hour cancellation policy will apply unless otherwise agreed in exceptional circumstances.
Customers should arrive with sufficient time to be ready for the scheduled start of the class. Late entry may be refused where joining after the class has started would be disruptive or unsafe.9. Behaviour and safety
Customers are expected to follow reasonable safety instructions and behave respectfully towards the instructor, other participants, venues and property.
MyoDynamic reserves the right to refuse or end participation where behaviour is unsafe, abusive, seriously disruptive or presents a reasonable risk to the individual or others.10. Personal belongings
